    The purpose of this form is to assist the Ogden Diversity Commission in making recommendations to the Mayor for appointment to the Ogden Diversity Commission. This form may assist the Mayor in making inquiries concerning the qualifications of applicants for appointment.   3. Purpose of the Ogden Diversity Commission

    The Commission shall work to establish a collaborative connection between the City of Ogden, individuals, institutions, and organizations working toward meeting the needs of our diverse communities. A collaborative strategic plan will be used to identify and resolve issues, promote equity, cultivate positive cultural awareness, promote cultural traditions, and enhance the well-being and quality-of-life of those living in or visiting Ogden.

  4. Mission

    A collaborative strategic plan will be used to identify and resolve issues, promote equity, cultivate positive cultural awareness, promote cultural traditions, and enhance the well-being and quality-of-life of those living in or visiting Ogden.

  5. Membership

    The Commission will be compromised of not fewer than nine (9) members, but not more than eleven (11) members representing a broad spectrum of the community, including, but not limited to the following factors: areas of expertise, advocacy experience, community involvement, student status, profession, education, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identify, sexual orientation, national origin, age, religion, ability, economic diversity, and geographic identification. Members must live, work, volunteer, worship, or be enrolled in school within the City of Ogden.

  11. 7. The commission meets once a month, on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. In addition to regularly scheduled meetings, it is anticipated that there will be numerous community events, trainings, town halls, and other public meetings that commission members may be requested to attend. Are you able to fully participate and commit the required number of hours needed to assist the commission in being successful? *
