M-1 and M-2 Zone Permitted Uses

Mini storageThe City of Ogden has initiated a zoning ordinance text amendment regarding permitted and conditional uses in the M-1 and M-2 zones.

The proposed ordinance would:

  1. limit most permitted and conditional industrial types uses in the M-1 and M-2 zones to locating in buildings currently existing or with current, valid site plan approvals; 
  2. prohibit new junk and salvage yards in the M-2 zone; and 
  3. prohibit new recycling and collection centers and towing and impound lots in the M-1 and M-2 zones.

The Ogden City Planning Commission will consider the change at a public hearing on Wednesday, August 2 2023, in the city council chambers, 2549 Washington Boulevard at 5:00 p.m.
