Permit Applications

Apply online for the following permits:

Commercial: Includes Apartment Buildings, Industrial, Office, Retail and Restaurants; Fire Damage/Repair
                   ***Contact Central Weber Sewer District for any applicable Impact Fees 

Residential: Includes Single Family, Duplex, Triplex and Townhomes; Fire Damage/Repair 

Fire: Commercial Fire Alarms, Sprinklers, & Commercial Kitchen Hoods; Residential if more than two dwelling units (excludes Townhouses)

Land Use: Fences, Driveways, Landscaping, Sheds (<200 sq.ft.), Concrete Pads, Walkways, etc. ***Requires a Site Plan

Demolition permits are issued separately and may require Asbestos and Utility Clearances:
- Asbestos Clearance: Contact State of Utah Division of Air Quality
- Power Clearance: Call Rocky Mountain Power at 888-221-7070
- Gas Clearance: Email Dominion Energy
- Water Clearance: Email Ogden City Public Works

Vacant Building: Buildings that are vacant for more than 90 days, or have received a "public nuisance violation." 
- Requires a Vacant Building Plan (max 1-2 pdf files)
- Ogden City Code & Fees for Vacant Buildings

Complete Plan Set, including Site and Civil; Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (one PDF)
Structural Calculations (one PDF)
Geotechnical Soils report (one PDF)
Project Specifications/Manual (one PDF)
Energy Compliance; ResCheck/Comcheck (one PDF) 
Miscellaneous (that do not fit into one of the categories above, one PDF)

Remodels:
Complete Floor Plan Set (one PDF) 
Structural Calculations (one PDF) 
Project Specifications/Manual (one PDF)
Energy Compliance; ResCheck/Comcheck (one PDF) 
Miscellaneous (Installation Manuals, Photos, Cut/Spec Sheets, etc.)

Other
BDO Approval is required for all projects located at the Business Depot of Ogden
Central Weber Sewer District Impact Fee
Ogden-Hinckley Airport Approval 
* Drawings must be sealed, signed and dated by a Utah-licensed design professional. Digital stamps and signatures are acceptable
* Partial submittals will not be accepted for review
* A deposit of $70.50 is due at time of application acceptance. This deposit will be deducted from the final permit price.
