Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) promotes economic development statewide. GOED’s mandate is to provide rich business resources for the creation, growth, and recruitment of companies to Utah and to increase tourism and film production in the state.

GOED accomplishes this mission through the administration of programs that are based around industries or “economic clusters” that demonstrate the best potential for development.

Economic Development Corporation of Utah

Started in 1987 as a private, nonprofit organization, the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah) is now a public/private partnership, working with state and local government and private industry to attract and grow competitive, high-value companies and spur the development and expansion of local Utah businesses.

EDCUtah is available to help businesses through the expansion, relocation or consolidation process.

Utah Department of Workforce Services

The Utah Department of Workforce Services (DWS) aims to strengthen Utah's economy by supporting the economic stability and quality of our workforce. DWS provides quality and streamlined services that connect a world-class workforce with employment.

Additionally, DWS is able to provide critical workforce data and manages several of state-supported job training programs.
