Burch Creek Trail
Rating: Moderately Difficult
Where there is a creek, there is a trail. This, of course, is no accident since water is critical to the lives of all animals. The Burch Creek Trail follows the stream over its entire length. Here are beauty and solitude even though the city is only minutes away.

The lower portion of the trail gets regular use but after a few hundred yards the signs of human visitation diminish. The first 1/4 mile is on private property and property rights should be respected. The trail is not regularly maintained but should be easy enough to navigate as long as you stay near the creek. There are a couple of difficult crossings higher along the trail. Mountain bikes are allowed but not encouraged due to the lack of a stable tread.
