Beus Canyon Trail

Beus Canyon Trail
Rating: Difficult
Begin at the trail head on the east end of 46th Street. This is a multiple use trail for walkers, mountain bikes and horses. The Bonneville Shore Line Trail takes off to the left (north) about 1/2 mile up the trail. After a moderately difficult two-mile beginning, the Beus Canyon Trail grows into a steep and challenging 4-mile climb up the west slope of Mt. Ogden. The ascent is more than 4,000 feet. Do not attempt the summit unless in excellent condition. It is highly recommended that you have proper clothing, emergency shelter, food, water and first aid provisions.

The Beus Canyon Trail is part of the Great Western Trail. After reaching the saddle just south of Mt. Ogden, the trail descends down the east side following the Snowbasin access road and connects to the Wheeler Creek Trail.
