Ogden's Riverfront Neighborhood (59-acres- in progress)

On January 13, 2004 the Ogden City Redevelopment Agency approved a "Development Agreement" with Cottonwood Partners Ogden River LLC to begin the development process for creating a new mixed-use neighborhood focused along the Ogden River between Washington Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue. New uses will include approximately 600 residential dwellings, including townhouses, rowhouses, live-work units, apartments and urban lofts. The mixed-use neighborhood will have retail fronting the Ogden River providing a unique atmosphere for dining, shopping and enjoying life. Larger scale convenience retail (like a neighborhood pharmacy, grocer, etc.) will front along Washington Boulevard. Parks, open space and the Ogden River trails provide a unique setting for this urban lifestyle.

The Development Agreement establishes Cottonwood's exclusive right to develop the property, commences a 120-day due diligence period to finalize feasibility studies and market analyses, begin tenant recruitment and to determine the first area for new development. During the past three months, six residential homes owned by the RDA have been demolished. As properties are acquired in the future, more demolitions will occur. This summer the RDA will be prepared to begin the acquisition of properties, relocation of owners/tenants and prepare the land for new development in that first area.
