About the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

John Patterson received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with emphasis in Public Administration. After receiving his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia, he went on to work as Finance Director for North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. John has served for thirty years in local government in three different states and six local governments; twenty five years of his local government experience has been as a City Manager.

Additionally, John is a Board Member for the Northern Utah United Way. He also serves on the local Council Board for the Boy Scouts of America. He also served for 11 years as a Board Member for Pioneer Valley Hospital and Chamber West. When not working, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Cindy, and their children as family is an important part of his life.

John is very active and has many interests, including his love of the outdoors. He enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking, running, racquetball, and wakeboarding.
