Swimming Pool

Providing fun and fitness for youth and adults year round offering:

Whether it’s raining or snowing outside, this indoor pool is comfortably heated to 83 degrees. Also for the enjoyment of patrons are two tube water slides.

Other Recreation

The Marshall White Community Center offers other types of recreational programs including:

Cultural Events

The Marshall White Center hosts a variety of Cultural Special Events throughout the year. Events include:

  • the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. annual Prayer Breakfast
  • the Black History program
  • the annual Easter Egg Hunt
  • the Cinco De Mayo cultural fair
  • the Halloween Spook Alley and maze
  • the annual Gift of Love Community Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner
  • a visit from Santa's Elves

Head Start Program

Head Start is a federal program for preschool children from low-income families. Children who attend OWCAP Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities. They also receive free medical and dental screenings, have healthy meals and snacks, and enjoy playing indoors and outdoors in a safe setting. To qualify for Head Start, you must meet the federal income guidelines, be receiving public assistance, or be one of the allowed 10% of children who exceed income guidelines.

Programs for Seniors

The Marshall N. White Community Center offers through the Weber County Nutrition Center, the Happy Hours Senior Lunch program. This program is designed to provided good healthy lunches for all qualified seniors sixty years of age and older, for a minimal fee.

Activities also include the opportunity to travel, arts and craft, ceramics, fitness programs (F.I.T. fitness incentive program, Senior water Aerobics etc.) to socialize with friends, to meet new people, to increase knowledge, to become and stay physically fit, and to contribute to the community and much more. The program also offers free health screenings (blood pressure screening, blood sugar test, and a host of other health programs through the year.
