The First Friday Art
Stroll in Ogden City has added two new stops on its route that promotes local artists for the month of January.
Ogden High School art students will be displaying their Winter Art Show from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The show highlights students from grades 10-12. The Art Gallery and Rotunda on the 1st floor of Ogden High School, located at 2828 Harrison Blvd., is the venue that supports these budding young artists.
T.O. Smith Elementary Students have also created artwork and partnered with
Waffle Love at 109 25th Street to show their art in the restaurant’s
second-floor gallery space. Every Friday evening in January, Waffle Love will
donate 10% of its proceeds to T.O. Smith Elementary, an Ogden United Promise
Neighborhood school. The fundraiser will begin during the First Friday Art
Stroll on January 5 and will continue on Fridays from 6:00-10:00 p.m.
throughout the month.
More than twenty local venues and businesses in Ogden regularly participate
in the Art Stroll and feature various exhibit types. Paintings, photography,
poetry, live music, handmade crafts and other artistic expressions that
showcase a diverse range of artists are included with this event.
