Type of Engineering Permits 



Right-of-Way (ROW)


The ROW Permit is required when working within the city Right-of-Way. Only licensed contractors who are insured and bonded with Ogden City may pull a Right-of-Way permit.

  • All Work Performed in the City Right-of-Way requires a permit.
  • All Work Performed in the City Right-of-Way requires inspection

Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)


This permit is required when you are disturbing land that has the potential of washing into the city storm drainage system. It is the city's policy that any construction or development of 5000 ft. or greater be required to obtain and maintain a SWPPP Permit. Water Permit


The Water Permit is required when installing a new water connection (tap and meter) to the city water main. All such work shall be performed by licensed and bonded contractors who meet Ogden City's insurance requirements.
