Ogden City Arts Committee hosts 2008 Arts Expo

Arts on the Town, the 2008 Arts Expo hosted by the Ogden City Arts Committee Wednesday, May 21st from 7-9 PM in the Grand Lobby of Historic Union Station Attendees will be able to visit booths hosted by local arts organizations, enjoy live music and a keynote address by Heidi Falk of www.nowplayingutah.com and sample the culinary artistry of the Union Grill. The event is free and open to the arts enthusiastic public.

Provide Input on the Future of Mt Ogden Golf Course

Ogden Seeks To Identify Rental Properties

Citizens are being asked to report possible rental properties in their neighborhood as part of a City wide effort to identify all rental dwellings and make sure they are properly licensed. 

Rental properties are required by law to be licensed as a business and are encouraged to follow basic guidelines through the Good Landlord Program, which helps ensure that rental properties are an enhancement to our city’s neighborhoods. 

All 2008 business license fees are due by January 31, and the City is offering a penalty-free grace period to citizens until February 5 to bring their license fees current.

Council continues to explore Water Horizons

After approving several projects in December 2007 that will improve the quality of the water and storm water service for Ogden residents and businesses, the Ogden City Council is continuing to explore ways to improve the way the City and its residents use water.

The Council is currently in the planning stages of creating a drought management plan. As with other aspects of its Water Horizons process, the Council is anxious to share drought-management information with residents. As more information becomes available, the Council will communicate it. Click here to see what the Council's Water Horizons process has yielded so far.

The Junction – A Good Investment for Ogden City

The Junction, downtown Ogden’s entertainment, retail and residential complex built on the site of the former Ogden City Mall, is well underway. The Salomon Center (Fat Cats, Gold’s Gym, Costa Vida, Striker’s Grill, Pizza Factory, and other retail) along with the Megaplex 13 theaters are already open to the public.
